At the 17th International Architecture Exhibition in Venice, Era Savvides and Nasios Varnavas (Urban Radicals), in collaboration with Werner Fraters, unveiled a striking table installation inspired by the natural materials of the Cypriot landscape. Utilising raw clay plasters to evoke the earthy essence of Mediterranean terracotta, the installation reinterprets the iconic table form as a mosaic of ‘islands’ that symbolises cultural and social diversity. This interactive piece invites viewers to engage with themes of urban and domestic landscapes, play, and technology, serving as a platform for architectural proposals that bridge local and global narratives.
