Toplum restaurant, by Studio Baab, celebrates craftsmanship through its use of natural materials, clean lines, and rhythmic patterns that offer a geometric simplicity. A restrained, neutral palette grounds the design, while thoughtful detailing creates intimacy within a generous floor plan.
Clayworks Demi-Rustic clay plaster was used throughout. Recessed strip lighting, designed in collaboration with Beirut-based Fabraca Studios, highlights the clay’s texture whilst enriching the overall ambience of the space. The calm atmosphere is contrasted by the mustard-coloured upholstery, inspired by the tones of Toplum’s signature hummus, muhammara and roasted eggplant dishes.
