Field Trip Spa, GuestHouse

Designed by Walkerbushe Architects in collaboration with hotelier GuestHouse, the interiors of Field Trip Spa layer natural materials, dappled daylight and soft, sculptural surfaces to create a series of spaces that feel calming, modern and elemental. The spa experience moves guests from cocooning, cave-like treatment rooms to an uplifting, light-filled upper floor where the texture of our smooth and corrugated clay plasters enhance the spa’s quiet, restorative character.

Clayworks clay plasters and Tadelakt finishes play an important role in shaping the spa’s atmosphere and its impact on wellbeing. Applied throughout the circulation and treatment spaces, these natural finishes support the building fabric and occupant health through natural acoustic, thermal, and moisture regulation, whilst contributing to the spa’s serene, nurturing environment.
