The UK’s first MICHELIN-starred vegan restaurant, Plates combines modern British food, a deep appreciation of nature and sustainable craft in a refined expression of London dining. Designed by Plates’ founders Kirk and Keeley Haworth in collaboration with Design & That Studio, the interior reflects the restaurant’s philosophy through a cocooning, tactile palette. Soft lighting, muted tones and natural textures create a calm, earthy atmosphere, with surfaces finished exclusively using pigments found in nature.
“From the outset, we prioritised working with local craftspeople, using environmentally-friendly materials, and repurposing where possible” says Emma Shone-Sanders, designer and founder of Design & That Studio.
