In the transformation of her four-storey Victorian terrace in Finsbury Park, designer Louisa Grey set out to create a combined home and design studio that reflected her approach to designing healthy interior environments. House of Grey focus on using natural, non-toxic materials that can return to the earth with ease, while shaping spaces that actively support occupant wellbeing.

Inspired by the soft, sculptural forms and natural materiality of Puglia’s architecture, Grey reimagined the lower ground floor as a light-filled kitchen, dining area, and snug, bringing moments of calm and joy to the everyday. Our smooth clay plaster was applied throughout these spaces, enhancing both spatial coherence and tactile richness. This breathable, mineral finish supports the project’s ecological goals – regulating humidity, improving indoor air quality, and grounding occupants in a sense of calm.
