The Garden Room forms part of the Natural History Museum’s Garden Kitchen, one of two new buildings delivered as part of the museum’s landmark Urban Nature Project. Nestled between the Palaeontology building and five acres of newly landscaped gardens, the new timber and stone buildings designed by Feilden Fowles sit in harmony with the iconic Grade I listed museum.
Designed as an octagonal events space with panoramic views of the surrounding planting by J&L Gibbons, the Garden Room offers an intimate, crafted setting for gatherings. Paired with brass trim details and olive green acoustic wall panelling, our low-carbon Rustic Arakabe clay plaster covers the faceted ceiling, complementing the project’s natural material palette and sustainability ambitions.
