Set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this new-build lodge by Tom Rutt Studio serves as a contemporary family retreat to a 17th-century Cotswold cottage. 

Drawing from the area’s agricultural character, the palette features timber cladding and corrugated steel – materials that root the building in local typology. Expansive glazing, bespoke joinery and exposed timber joists elevate the structure, combining with our smooth clay plaster to create a place of tranquility within a countryside setting.
